WordPress powers a large share of the web, and contributing back to it is something I care about. My contributions across the ecosystem are tracked on my WordPress.org profile.
How I contribute
- Plugins: authoring and maintaining open source plugins such as Product Roles Manager for WooCommerce.
- Ecosystem participation: engaging with the platform, its standards, and its community.
- Knowledge sharing: writing about WordPress engineering so others can build on what I’ve learned.
Why it matters
Contributing to open source keeps me honest as an engineer. Code that’s published under your name, used by strangers, and held to community standards forces a level of care that internal only work sometimes doesn’t. It also keeps me connected to a platform I’ve worked with for most of my career.
